A Flower from every Meadow

A wonderful exhibition called “A Flower from every Meadow" was held in central London in February 2010 with proceeds from sales of the artwork donated to Second Sight. The fruit of an art class held as part of after-school lessons in a Pakistani-run mosque in Newham, east London, the paintings showed a particular vibrancy born of living between different cultures. The artists were boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 13 and their teacher is Allegra Mostyn-Owen. The money raised paid for cataract operations that restored sight to children in rural Bihar where 80% of Muslims live below the poverty line.
A huge THANK YOU to Allegra and all the children!
