ANAND EYE HOSPITAL : Local eye surgeon Dr Amit Anand is pictured at a village screening camp.
Dr Amit accumulated extensive surgical and medical experience in Nepal and other parts of India. However, he returned to his home district 10 years ago to provide high quality eye care in the area in which he was born and where he grew up. His team go to the most inaccessible regions of the district to bring in the blind.

Ophthalmic assistant Chuchun Kumar reassures a nervous villager who needs surgery to restore his sight. Chuchun is multi-skilled - an optometrist, operating theatre scrub-nurse and village screener all in one. His training was done on-site under the guidance of Dr. Amit.
