Focus on Bihar - West Champaran
The DSN eye hospital- Doctor Siddiqui Netralaya, Narkatiganj.
A group of committed locals, including optometrist Faisal Siddiqui and eye surgeon Dr Sabit Hassan, established this small community eye hospital a decade ago. Its catchment area is along the Indo-Nepalese border where languages include Hindi, Urdu, Bhojpuri and a dialect spoken by the Tharu people.
The DSN team have deep roots in the area. They are highly skilled ophthalmic workers.
